Loneliness Girl
I’m a friend of loneliness she soaks me up inside
She keeps me wrapped and locked in the place where I reside
It’s a dark and empty tunnel no way in or out
Just a place for us to stay and loose what I’m about
The air is thick and mucky my eyeballs have a glaze
I walk from end to end I cannot sync my days
I’m a friend of loneliness she tells me to look away
I’ve heard out there there’s miracles but not for me she says
On her lap she lets me lie that place is for others my dear
For the ones who pass me on the way to a life of useless fear
She sings me softly to sleep as I think of the other world
They must not have liked the comfort or the warmth of the loneliness girl
For everyone who’s out there has to deal with life’s demands
But oh not me she says i will keep you safe between my lonely hands
I’m a friend of loneliness I shelter the world away
This tunnel is my home until the quiet makes me sway
Did We Go Too Far?
The Majestic canteen was the perfect sight as you entered the theater. A Coke sign and scents of buttery popcorn hanging in the air were all inviting. As a kid growing up on the island, that theatre in Corner Brook was a safe and sacred place for me on those warm summer evenings and snowy winter nights.
I am grateful for the guidance, patience, and support I received from several fine friends and musical purist collaborators as I poured myself into creating a catalogue for an album. Thanks to Kirill Telichev, guitarist, writer, recording engineer, and producer. Lyrical writers, John M Conway, LA Moore, Timothy J Bergen, and TJSR. Dave Moore, guitarist, lyricist.
